The façade of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam has been unveiled. Friday afternoon, just when dusk set in, the spectacular white main entrance of the museum was officially revealed by means of a lightshow. Speeches were given by the Alderman of Culture of the city of Amsterdam, the director of the museum and the director of the main sponsor, Teijin. The Stedelijk Museum is the first museum that has its entry at the Museumplein. The wing-shaped, cantilevered roof enhances the open transition from Museumplein to the museum and removes any doubts about the location of the main entrance.
