Bridges IJburg, Amsterdam

Bridges Buitenwater IJburg, Amsterdam
Between the city centre of IJburg, Amsterdam's new town, and the 'Old Land' lies Rieteiland, built on with villas. Four bridges, two for cars and two for bicycles, provide opening up and are members of one family. Slender, but strong steel constructions leap over the water and skim over the reedy borders of the IJsselmeercoast. The bridges are pre-fabricated and the infrastructure of the mains is integrated in the sidewalks.
